Wild Salmon Poke Appetizer
This quick and easy recipe has been my new “go-to” favorite for the holiday season. Salty Debby’s Wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon is Sushi Grade. Yes, safe to consume raw! I’ve made this beautiful appetizer board for multiple potlucks and gatherings. I hope you enjoy this fun new way to eat your salmon with this tangy marinade and savory sauce with optional ginger and sriracha for customizable flavor.
Servings: 4-8
Time: 20 minutes
Ingredients
1 lb (small to medium fillet or 3 to 4 portions) Salty Debby’s Wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon, skin removed and diced
3 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
1 tbsp rice vinegar
1 tsp honey
1 tsp grated fresh ginger (optional for zest)
1 tsp sriracha (optional, for heat)
Dress with:
1 tsp toasted sesame seeds
1 thinly sliced green onion
toothpicks (or just use your fingers 😊)
Instructions
In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, honey, and optional grated ginger and sriracha until well combined.
Add the diced sockeye salmon to the marinade and gently toss to coat all pieces evenly.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds and thinly sliced green onion just before serving.
